Michaels skills and experience include:
- Working as Project Manager for Telstra, Michael managed several projects simultaneously for the launch of Telstra’s NextG mobile network, delivering on time and on budget.
- Managing a skilled team at Connex to identify potential sources of IT risks and their impacts to the organisation. Focusing on risk minimisation and mitigation, Michael developed a set of recommendations to the client, working alongside key stakeholders to provide solutions to reduce risks and minimise the impact to the business.
- Working as a Business Analyst with the Victoria Police, responsible for a Budgetary Review program. The role required the review of several self-assessments of departmental budgets, and proposing a series of innovative solutions to reduce the bottom-line impact of the units to the organisation. Michael and the team recommended a series of solutions to reduce cost and offset cost through innovative and effective revenue generation methods.
Background
Michael started his career in a technical capacity, possessing a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science), then quickly moved into technical project management roles. His business experience has covered the Telecommunications, Financial, Government and Defence industries, and has included many different types of work, including Project Management, Risk Management and Disaster Recovery, Business Analysis, Business Case Development and Change Management.
